When it comes to designing wedding invitations, Caitlin Spaulding is a pro. Caitlin’s business, Wouldn’t it Be Lovely,  offers a variety of designs such as hand lettering, custom watercolor paintings & illustrations, foil press, and more. She is passionate about giving people a design they love and feel great about, with most things done by hand to give personal touch.

Raised in Medfield, Massachusetts, Caitlin has always had a deep love for all things design. She attended Rhode Island School of Design and majored in industrial design. After graduating, Caitlin interned with Reebok designing shoes for more than 7 years. During this time, she married her high school sweetheart, Chris. Still located in Massachusetts, Caitlin is now mom to 2 year old Charlie and her 2 dogs, Lincoln and Truman. When she’s not working, her family enjoys traveling to new places, as well as stopping into Disney World as often as they can. It was the planning of her own wedding that sparked her interest in the field. “I had so much fun planning my own wedding, that I started helping my friends plan theirs” says Caitlin.

In 2015, she left Reebok and began running her business full time. “I was able to do something I loved and could interact with clients.” Her main goal is to create something special and unique that reflects the couple and who they are. Getting the opportunity to be a part of a couple’s wedding day and bringing their vision to life is nothing short of special to Caitlin.

When running your own business there are a lot of different things that have to be dealt with. When asked the most challenging part of it all, her response was: “Obviously I would rather just create and do the art part of it, but I had to figure out how to delegate and get help where I needed it. It’s important to keep your bride happy and to make sure that everyone gets what they want.”

Looking back, Caitlin never expected that this is where she would end up. “This was never the end goal. I wasn’t really sure what I wanted to do, and I knew that footwear wasn’t the end for me. I love design and so many things involving that, and I was open to whatever opportunities may present themselves.”

Although Caitlin says she is unsure of what the future holds, one thing she knows for sure is that she wants to constantly grow and get better, wherever things may end up.

We love any chance we get to work with Caitlin for weddings! Her incredible design skills add such a special touch to weddings and it’s always so much fun to see what unique designs she comes up with for each individual couple.
