Who else is ready for a burst of color today? Because I simply cannot wait to share this wedding with you! First, a thank you to the ever-lovely Lauren at Every Last Detail for the feature (she has over 80 images in the post!). And secondly, a big shoutout to Liz & Erin at Papered Heart Photography for knocking these images out of the park.

As a designer, being able to trust a photographer to capture the day as you see it is simply invaluable. I could stare at these images for days. My favorite part? Even though the detail shots are positively to-die-for, the people-filled images are even more compelling. The emotions from the day tell the story perfectly: Alina & David’s love radiated throughout the entire day.

*side note: how cute is Tobias? ^

The first time I met Alina & David, we sat at a coffee shop alongside Abe & Zeke (David’s dashing sons). I listened as they told me their story, and became more and more amazed at the artistic talent the entire family holds. Abe & Zeke patiently doodled sketches in their notepads as I chatted with David & Alina. David is an amazing tattoo artist, and Alina, an uber talented hairstylist who also happens to have an incredible penchant for crafts. Over the course of their engagement, I thoroughly enjoyed working with both of them- and bringing their colorful vision to life!

*and the guests’ tattoos at the wedding were amazing!

The details of this wedding are some of my absolute favorites. From the gazillion gorgeous paper flowers that Alina handcrafted and trusted our team to incorporate & execute, to the custom temporary tattoos that David drew, to the subtle nods to Alina’s cuban heritage (did you see the ring boxes!?), to the array of colorful backdrops- there was always some place else to look & another thing to notice. Although chalkboards are quite the trend, they fit into the design of the day perfectly! I love hand-painting each one. Oh! And the scrumptious dessert table- what fun! The guests then cheered as Abe & Zeke broke into two surprise balls that we made, just after Alina & David cut into their cake.

The whole crowd, the entire day, was filled with laughter and enthusiasm.  It truly was incredible celebration to both be a part of and to witness. The grand exit- a parade down the streets of Ybor- was a memory I will never forget! Thank you, Alina & David, for trusting Ashton Events with your day. And another big thank you to all of the talented vendors who made this day happen! See below for the rad lineup, and don’t forget to go check out the images on Every Last Detail!

Happy Wednesday!
