Hip hip hooray! We finally got our blog back up and running, and are delighted to share this feature with you. It was located in one of our favorite jazz bars, Tony’s Studio B, in Lakeland, and put together by so many of our favorite vendors. Mikkel Paige & Lauren from Every Last Detail contacted me about a styled shoot this spring, eager to create a design based around Mikkel’s brand. I was instantly drawn to how her bright colors contrast against a crisp black + white stripe. I also loved the surprising, cheekily playful elements (who doesn’t love an opportunity for spunkiness!?).

The invitation suite was a masterful group effort, and I loved how the final look blended hints from each layer of the design. Did you notice the verbiage on the menu?

Our bride wore a gorgeous gown from Malindy Elene (look at that back!), accented with some fabulous statement pieces. Because of how simple the front of the dress was, we couldn’t resist pairing it with a bold, bright + fluffy bouquet of flowers.

Colbie Caillat’s song, “Brighter than the Sun”, became a source of inspiration, and we made sure to include not only the lyrics but the actual sheet music as well! We pulled “his sunshine + her moonlight” as a fun detail for the sweetheart chairs provided by Kate Ryan Linens.

The lounge furniture from Wish Vintage filled the sunlit window area perfectly! And Brie Does Makeup did a phenomenal job with that chic ponytail- oh so chic.

The escort display turned out brilliantly, and a detailed eye will notice that the cards are alphabetized (something Lauren consistently talks about on her blog, and our guests always appreciate!).

The gorgeous gold sequin stripe linen from House of Hough tied into the design perfectly! We loved the stripe-on-stripe moment.

And, finally, the scrumptious cake by The Sugar Suite. Love it!
