Whew! How is it June already?

This post is a bit more unique than past posts, but also one that I am looking forward to sharing with all of you.  Regardless of whether you are a past, present or future client- or if you are a simply one of Ashton Event’s extremely supportive friends or family members- thank you for taking the time to read this!

May flew by, and I never even got the chance to mention the tremendous opportunity I had at the beginning of the month.  I had the honor and privilege of attending the Making Things Happen workshop in Atlanta, GA- a ‘bucket list’ item two years in the making.  As a business owner, I have often found myself wrestling with how to balance my passions in life, and this workshop was an answered prayer.  I positively LOVE what I do. Ashton Events has been a dream come true and given me the opportunity to pour my talents into a career and industry that is both creative and relational. I could not ask for more from a ‘job.’

At Making Things Happen, I met the most amazing, small group of women who were walking right alongside me in the business world. The workshop is tailored to creative people seeking to make the most of their talents and abilities- and let me tell you: the amount of talent in that room was incredible! MTH is led by Lara Casey, Emily Ley, and Gina Zeidler.  These women are incredible. Inspiring. Motivational. Empowering. There are too many words, and not enough time, to describe the energy and love that they pour into each of us at the workshop.  As an attendee, you feel heard, loved, accepted, challenged, and for me- I learned to be courageous.

Which leads me to write this post- because I felt challenged to be clear about the intent and the foundation of Ashton Events.  I want our vision, as a company, to be well understood by anyone we encounter.  Below is a description of our beliefs and core values.

Ashton Events is a company founded on transparency and warm personalities.

  • We want every client to feel well loved, appreciated, and understood throughout the planning process.
  • Similar to this amazing new manifesto- we are all about the relationship we build with our clients.
  • We believe that the significance of the ceremony is far more important than the details of the reception (and BOY! do we love the details).
  • We strive to offer each couple a completely unique experience that is dedicated to telling their story.
  • We believe in being good stewards of your money regardless of the budget, and discovering unexpected ways to create the day you’ve always dreamt of.
  • We believe in problem solving and implementing solutions with integrity and determination.
  • We believe in having immense amounts of fun, and are true believers in the idea that ‘a little spontaneity goes a long way’.
  • We believe in being generous.
  • And we believe in love.

MTH was such a blessing for me, personally, as well as for Ashton Events.  I am delighted to have spent time investing in other women who are passionate about their careers- and would encourage anyone to attend, especially if you need that extra shove to get started!  Feel free to contact me with any questions about it- I’m happy to spill the beans on my experience!

Enjoy your week, loves- we are SO excited about what is JUST around the corner..

It’s bound to be amazing.
