Happy Thursday, y’all! It is a very happy day over here, indeed. I’m delighted to announce that we’ve been featured on Southern Weddings! I owe a very big thank you to Justin DeMutiis and White Magnolia Bridal for encouraging me to take on this inspiration shoot- it very much became a heart project of mine!

If you haven’t jumped on the Instagram train yet, you can visit the Ashton Events profile here! You can also find the vendors by using #southernwildernessshoot.  I’ll be sharing a bit more in depth over there about the design, and why this particular shoot resonated so deeply with me.

I can tell you that the words on this backdrop are one of the three main inspirations. I get teary-eyed just looking at it!

This shoot was a sunrise shoot, shot at the gorgeous Rocking H Ranch. We got up (so!!) early to try and capture the fog that naturally graces the pastures each morning. I may have ruined a pair of my tennis shoes from the dew in the process, but it was absolutely breathtaking being out in the open fields to watch the sun greet us.

There are so many little details from this shoot that tied together seamlessly. One of my favorites is the bride’s hair piece from Bride La Boheme, it served as an design inspiration for the entire print materials suite, lovingly made by Eleven Note!

You’ll hear me talk about this over on Instagram, but one of the biggest reasons that I loved this shoot was the amount of artists that were willing to collaborate on this shoot.

Community is the bread and butter of my business- I cannot do my job without the help, support, and talent of my other vendors. From the custom textured linens from Kate Ryan Linens, to the handcrafted table numbers by DH Studios (aren’t those encaustics incredible!?), to the artisan breads & pastries from Born & Bread Bakehouse… the list goes on, and I can’t thank them each enough for participating. Every vendor listed below went above and beyond to make this shoot possible!

So, go check out the feature (and the video!) on Southern Weddings, and don’t forget to visit us on Instagram. We’d love to hear what you think! Cheers!
