We’re going old school tonight- an oversized ornament made out of an embroidery hoop.
We spotted the idea on
The City Cradle, and thought it would be a great addition to our collection.

Our Supplies:

Red Cotton Fabric (12″x 12″ square)
White Cotton Fabric (12″x 12″ square)
Green Felt Fabric
Scissors
9″ Embroidery Hoop
Hot Glue Gun

We placed the red fabric around the outside of the inner hoop.  We then cut a portion of the white fabric to resemble a snowy hill and positioned it on the hoop.  We then placed the outer hoop around the outside and pulled the fabric snug.  After tightening the top of the hoop, we were pleased to see that the white fabric was able to stay put without any kind of glue or adhesive.  We then cut out a small tree from the green felt and hot glued it onto the hoop.

And done!
We also thought (once we hang up the other ornaments) that we could hang this one in the window.

Charming, no?
