We had the opportunity to plan another shower for this lady in August-
& we just had to let you in on the details…
and add a surprise ending! =]
Many thanks to this blogger for the pictures..
Baby Jackson has a nautical themed nursery- so we decided to use that for our inspiration.
We also have been loving the “ombre” trend right now,
and quickly realized that blue & white ombre looks a lot like the ocean- check!
So we designed and hand-dyed the invitations- and continued the theme throughout the print materials.
We also made another batch of “wisdom & advice cards” like we did at the Indianapolis shower,
adding the same anchor from the invitation- so the momma-to-be could separate them.
Centerpieces for the tables were comprised of coral reef frames, driftwood, sailboats, and lovely flowers.
We also made two nautical garlands- one that said “Jackson” and one the says “Ahoy!”
Over 40 women gathered to celebrate this precious life!
And the “activity” for the day?
DIY onesies- complete with a dye station, to go along with the “ombre” theme. Guests could paint, stencil, draw, or dye the onesies. We bought several age ranges, including toddler t-shirts, so Jackson will have homemade outfits for several occasions.
The shower turned out wonderfully well, and Jackson is very loved!
And guess who made his debut on Monday- when we were originally going to publish this post?
This looks awesome. Absolutely love the “activity.” So creative.
Thanks, Emily! The guests seemed to really enjoy the activity- even if it was a bit messy. 🙂 Plastic gloves for the guests were a must!
