So thrilled to be featured on the Ruffled blog today, alongside some of my favorite vendors!
Jordan Weiland and I have worked together a few times, and when she contacted me about a doing a shoot while she was in town, I couldn’t resist jumping on board. Her personality creates such an awesome environment for me as a planner/designer- she masters the balance of being laid-back but still vocal perfectly!
You need to go check out the feature to find where the inspiration for the shoot began, but here is one really obvious hint. 🙂
The whole design was a balance of highs and lows. I really wanted to contrast opulence with simplicity. The single tulip hanging off the chairs, and the nontraditional table settings were subtle, but intentional choices.
The escort display was inspired from an art display I found online, using layers of birch wood to create movement down a wall. I loved the idea, and decided to create that same effect, but hang it from a Florida Oak tree.
