We love the holidays.
It’s impossible to deny the marvelous change in the air once December 1st rolls around. People are friendlier, soups and hot drinks are served, and songs are better. Maybe it’s just because everyone sings contagious carols since they know them (even if they don’t like them)… either way, we love the holidays.
In honor of the month of December, and the love we have for DIY projects, we decided to create a “Holiday Hoopla” blog series. Every day, in the month of December, you can visit the Ashton Events blog to find a new post from us about a holiday related DIY project, recipe, etc. We love trying new things around here, and we invite you to take this 31 day journey with us!
Day 1: We decided to tackle a simple candle arrangement.
And when we say “simple,” we mean it!
Our supplies:
– Vases (we already had these)
– Cranberries ($1.99 for a bag)
– Lace Trim ($.25/yd- We ♥ clearance!)
– Double Sided Tape ($1.99 per roll)
– Tealights ($1.00 for a bag of 25)
This is an incredibly easy way to spruce up your entry table or countertop.
Simply cut the lace trim to fit around each vase and use the double sided tape to secure it on the vase.
Then fill the vases with cranberries and placed the tealight on top.
Voila! Super easy, incredibly affordable, and a quick way to class up any table.
For an added touch, try filling the vases with water and let the cranberries and tealight float.
Day 1- √
30 Days to go!
LOVE it. the water might help the cranberries last longer too… 🙂
