Happy New Year, everyone!

I still am amazed at 2012, and what a tremendous year it was for me, both personally and professionally. While I am beyond excited about 2013 and all it will hold, I cannot help but reflect on the amazing adventure this last year has been.  I am incredibly grateful for the way Ashton Events has grown, the friendships that were made this year, and the courage that I was given to leap into the unknown!

There is so much to be thankful for in 2012, and I am so looking forward to seeing all that is in store for 2013. It seems only appropriate to start the year off with an amazing inspiration shoot I was part of in December.  Lauren (from Every Last Detail) and Megan (Glamour and Grace) contacted me about helping design and coordinate an engagement party inspiration shoot.  I absolutely loved every minute of this shoot- from the first brainstorming lunch all the way to the farewells to the vendors at the end of the night.  The color palette, personalized cakes, hexagon shapes (LOVED that fabric), and the atmosphere that was created- it was a spectacular shoot.

Normally after an inspiration shoot, all of the vendors break down immediately after- and we all regret that no one is able to actually enjoy the setup.  Well, this time we turned it into an actual party.  It was an evening filled with so much laughter, insight, and gratefulness.  As I sat at that table and shared a delicious meal (thanks Good Food Catering!), I was overwhelmed by how blessed I am.  Ashton Events truly is a dream come true, and I am so thankful for this industry and the incredibly talented artists that I get to work beside.  Thank you, Lauren and Megan, for asking me to be a part of that magical event!  Here are the links to the features: Every Last Detail and Glamour and Grace!

One of my favorite details from the shoot (and there were a plethora of details!) was the favor we asked Alicia from A&P Designs to create.  Keeping in line with the geometric shape, she designed hexagon-shaped bucket lists for all of the guests to take home.  We packaged them in hexagon boxes and finished it off with some festive trim.

I thought it would be only fitting to share my bucket list with you today.
