Before we reveal the next part of our Hyde Park Inspiration Shoot
(keep in mind, we’re talking Tampa- not London (btw, how ironic is that timing)),
we just couldn’t let this monumental day in the industry pass without throwing out our two cents.

Oh the Wedding! There are 6 major highlights for us.
Well there are more like 60, but we want to be aware of your time.
And the fact that there is still work to be done on this Friday morning. wah wah..

Nevertheless, our top 6 moments:

1. The structure and timeliness. British people are incredibly civilized. As wedding coordinators, that crowd is the dream crowd for an event. Polite (though passionate) + orderly (though in masses) = a piece of cake for wedding coordinators. Although, having an entire calvary must have helped a bit, no?

2. It was so refreshing to see the tradition trump the glitz. In an industry where the “next big thing” and “trend” is always the focus, we couldn’t help but love seeing the pomp and circumstance be altogether understated and elegant.  The ceremony revolved completely around the matrimony, not the decor or fancy-pants attire (but did you SEE that pink bow hat?).

3. Prince William. Scratch that, the princely brothers. It was so fun to see the interaction between Will & Harry. The younger was so excited about the day, continuing to bring out the emotion of the ever-calm William. Ten bucks to whoever can tell us what he whispered to William when he stole a glance of his brother’s bride walking down the aisle.

4. The angelic voices. Okay, we realized not everyone will get to have the 100 person choir, but if you get the option: Take it. And run. They created such a majestic atmosphere.  Again, it’s such a fairy tale and over the top- but you couldn’t deny that the choir sounded heavenly.

5. A downright elegant and poised bride, who was at the same time completely youthful and endearing. You can’t deny that her smile was genuine and -even from across the ocean & through our computer screen- you could feel the electricity in the air. You can’t fabricate that emotion. It’s just there.
And ohmygoodnessgollyme- THAT DRESS. We can’t even begin to list all the ways it was perfect.

6. The kiss. es. Did you swoon? The first, with its awkward quickness left us hanging. Not to be all dramatic- but it’s a fairytale wedding right? So Prince Charming, er, William, should have bent her backwards in the “happily ever after” smooch. Alas, he came through with kiss numero dos. We clapped and squealed, just like we do at the end of a chick-flick. And did you see William blush? bam.

Overall, it was a fantastic way to start the morning. A worldwide celebration of a marriage.

And just to be sure you saw the dress in all its glory:

oh happy day.

(Also, if you noticed an exorbitant amount of ( )’s today- please know we are happily aware of our addiction. This post from one of our favorite blogs captures our grammar perspective perfectly).
