Happy spring, fellow followers! =]

The warm weather has been delightful the past few weeks, and we are ever so grateful for the sunshine.
There seems to be an added bounce to everyone’s step when the warm sun cheers up the sky.

Today, we wanted to share a few pictures from the engagement shoot we styled, and that was featured on Green Wedding Shoes back in January.  We had an absolute blast with the shoot, and are ever so grateful that Dave Lapham Photography was on hand to capture the day.  We want to give a shout out to the Black Swan Bazaar for lending us some vintage baking props for the shoot. If you live in Lakeland, and haven’t met Yvonne and Richard- you must simply make that happen. We also have pictures of a campfire setup that you haven’t seen..

A few notes from the day:

  • Jillian & Marcus are often found in the kitchen, so we tailored the shoot around that passion.
  • Jillian wore an heirloom dress in the outdoor kitchen, from her grandma’s pageant days (amazing).
  • Jillian & Marcus made an ipod playlist to listen to during the shoot- we highly recommend this!!
  • Jillian loved the idea of the stamped spoons, so we took it a step further & made a spoon garland, which became on of our favorite details.
  • The flour fight was an awesome moment- which coated EVERYTHING in the area… including the aforementioned ipod. =]
  • The hanging table was actually made from a piece of an old wood cabinet & we loved the whimsical touch it added.
  • It was approximately 100 degrees outside (give or take a few) during the campfire shoot, and the mosquitoes swarmed us- but we would never trade those captured moments for comfort.

Thanks again, GWS, for featuring us! We are positively delighted.
Do you know of someone recently engaged who would love a customized shoot?
Send us an email, and we will happily chat with you about details!
There is nothing we love more than telling the story or capturing a shared passion.
Oh, and did you happen to notice the ‘save the date’ on the spoons?
Because Jillian and Marcus are now hitched.. and we cannot wait to show you
the pictures from their unforgettable wedding day!
