We were approached at the end of last year to design an inspiration shoot in Tampa..
in house being restored in Hyde Park.
Um, yes please.

The house was full of inspiration, and we quickly picked 3 words from the ELD Style Dictionary:
romantic, unique, and vintage.
We also added “exposed” to the list, because we really wanted to play up the current status of the home.
We sketched four different shots (2 ceremony and 2 reception), playing into each room’s best features.
An insane wood attic, Tuscany pink walls, and a gorgeous sunroom- the list went on and we got busy.

We drew from raw materials, a neutral color palette, and a variety of textures in designing our look for the day.  We didn’t want the shoot to feel lifeless, but instead to capture a very raw, almost undone state.

The first look for the ceremony was simple & romantic.  We draped a single sheet of gauze from the ceiling and strung garlands of star anise down the front.  We hung a custom-made chandelier in front of it, which gave off the most incredible reflections throughout the room.  Talk about dreamy.

The second look for the ceremony was a more exposed look.  We double draped torn neutral toned fabric garlands to create a soft background for an exposed lighting fixture. We loved the complete difference between the two looks, and how the atmosphere changed for both.

Matthew, from Matthew R Photo, captured some of our favorite images of the day in between setups, highlighting the incredible bouquet created by Jana at Events In Bloom. Vicky from Anglo Couture lent us the “Emily” dress from her collection, which fit perfectly into the shoot.  We set up a “welcome area” that had a suitcase full of napkins.. just “in case” of tears. It also highlighted the awesome escort cards created by A Fine Press. We’ll have more on the incredible team of vendors tomorrow!

But for today.. enjoy these lovely snapshots.

We will be back tomorrow with the reception shots!

But before we go, we need to send a HUGE shout out to all the vendors who made this shoot possible:
