Now onto the reception shots from our Hyde Park inspiration shoot.  There is a lot to share, so grab a cup of coffee and a scone (you had some leftover from the wedding this morning, right?) and enjoy!

Our team of vendors did an incredible job capturing the look for the day.  We honestly felt like kids watching magicians as they continued to pull items out of their hats cars that day.
Matthew R Photo went above and beyond capturing the emotion of the day.
Since we were playing with the word “exposed,” we knew the pictures had to capture the essence perfectly.
We literally squealed when they popped into our inbox!

gorgeous.

The bride’s “Emily” dress is part of the Anglo Couture collection, and fit the shoot perfectly.  We could not have asked for more from the gorgeous silk dress that had little touches of lace peeking out of the front and back.  It was all vintage and romance-filled.  The veil/hair accessories were also from Anglo Couture, and we loved how the bird cage veiled played so well into the chicken wire.

Let’s move onto the first reception shot.  The pink walls of the room screamed Tuscany, and combined with the natural light, we knew it would instantly read romance.  We used a runner made out of gauze and chicken wire, a bevy of vases as the centerpiece, and had an egg caddy filled with sweet treats.  For the guests favors, we had little boxes made out of stiffened muslin fabric, topped with the star anise. They turned out to be one of our favorite details of the day (thanks again, Dawn!)!

Jana, from Events in Bloom, did an extraordinary job on the bouquet and boutonniere.  A chicken wire bouquet- are you kidding us!? We loved every aspect: the romance of the hydrangeas and roses, the rawness of the chicken wire & star anise, and the overall unique look of it.  We treated the vases that were used with a mercury glass finish, which gave them a touch more character.

The second reception shot was held in the sunroom downstairs.  We incorporated several more details.  We knew we wanted to feature the mantle of the fireplace.  We used roofer’s edging to make the L + L (Lydia + Levi), and added a few sprigs of stock to soften the contrast.  Then on the shelf, we added a row of books covered in fabric that had the wedding date stamped onto it.

A Fine Press, the stationer for the shoot, used engraved acrylic with a faux wood grain.  Look closely at the back of the invitation for the chickenwire blind impression. Sigh. A true “where’s waldo” treat! The menus were the perfect compliment to the reception tablescapes.

Finally, Andrea of Sweetcakes created some incredible masterpieces.  One completely exposed cake and one more classic with the star anise, plus all sorts of other fun treats.   We loved how the macaroons fit perfectly into the little favor boxes!

Leslie (Beauty Marked Design) & Sideara (Salon Purpura) did an incredible job capturing a very natural, yet romantic look for our model. We can’t say enough about their talent!

Our models for the day were a gorgeous couple who have been married for three years.  Their obvious connection was captured beautifully by the photographer, and played very well into the rawness of the emotion throughout the day.  Jenny (the model) is also a photographer, and you could tell she knew how to work a camera.

The vintage furniture was found at the Black Swan Bazaar & Thom’s Antiques in Lakeland, FL.

The end.

(happy sigh)
