Spend some time perusing this website, and I’m sure you will discover my passion for lyrics. Actually, music to be more (and less) specific. I grew up singing in choirs for both school & church. Yes- I was in show choir in high school. Yes, that did involve pleather pants and electric blue mesh shirts. Yes, I have hidden all pictures possible. But I digress- music has surrounded me my entire life.
There is just something about a melody- it can slow my spinning thoughts and resolve them to a more steady hum. Lyrics often take me to a new place- alleviating the emotions of the moment and I can escape into a new world.
If you’re like me, starting off your week well makes a huge difference. So, I thought I would start sharing some of my favorite songs with you on Monday’s.
Today- I’m writing from a sunlit living room in Chicago (hip hip hooray for a midwest adventure!)- and have been listening to a tune from Gungor’s “Ghosts Upon The Earth.” It’s a sweet tune of love, filled with lots of pep and a mix of instruments.
